Be the change you want to see in the world - Gandhi
Hi, My name is Craig and this is my first blog.
I'm going to write about the Cook and Eat Well sessions on Wednesday mornings. I'm a new volunteer and in the five months I've been coming I've eaten Somalian, Libyan, Gujrati dishes and many more: each one delicious.
In Cook & Eat Well this week Aysha and Manal showed us how to make Sudanese lamb and okra (and a chicken and okra variation) which we then enjoyed with rice and home-made "avocado salad" (like a guacamole) .
All the dishes were extremely tasty.
Our weekly Cook and Eat Well sessions have been very well attended and great fun. It has been good learning different dishes from around the world - and also different cooking methods such as steaming, blanching and preserving.

I am very excited to be part of our new CookRight Club every Wednesday morning. The aim of the cookery club is to bring together people from different cultures and communities together, and teach each other popular traditional dishes from around the world.
FolesHillfields Healthy Summer has influenced my daily diet in a positive way.
Since the project started, I tried to change my daily diet in a more healthy way. For example, I eat more diverse fruits since I participated in the fruit taster day. I have always been a passionate fan of fruits, and discovering new fruits and tasting them together with the volunteers and staff was a great experience.
