The world is for those who make their dreams come true
This weekend a lot has happened. Saturday morning we started our journey to go and visit a village called Hemen Village - however it was a little manic before leaving as i couldn't find my room key to get into my room to get the bag that I was going to take with me. Not a very good start to the day.
After a good 2 hour journey of scenic views, bumpy roads, good conversation and worrying about Aman [another Global Fellow, not Pooja's sister and our Youth Development Worker! :0) - Ed] we finally made it to the village that wasn't really the true sense of a village as it was a tourist village - eg. our rooms had air conditioning. It was still an interesting experience on the whole. We ate meat that had been killed and skinned in the village. I even ate a chicken claw. Not much meat on it.
We later climbed to the top of a mountain in the village called Silver Pagoda Loop and the views were amazing. I will try to upload some pictures later on. It wasn't easy though, this is where Duke of Edinburgh skills become very handy. It felt so good to finally be in the outdoors with fresh air and peace. I loved it. It's my thing.
On the way down I was bright and chirpy but later felt extremely dizzy and faint. It was the strangest feeling. We were having a party in the hall where we were staying and all of a sudden I felt so weak. I was so lucky that I had so many caring people around me to make me feel better. I was carried to a different room away from the music where I was fanned and fed. Everyone has been so great but especially Aldaine, Aman, Suraya, Keshi, Jordan, Noor, Catherine, Imtiaz, Patricia, Ma, Laoshi, Ariel and Julliette. Thank you soo much eveyone. I don't know how I would have done it without you! This experience has made me realise that these people are people I will always keep close to my heart.
OUR CLASS (A) WON THE SONG COMPETITION along with group D! WHHOOOO! I won a panda. That was good news after feeling ill for ages. BRRAAAAAP!! :p
I am feeling much better now so there is no need for anybody to worry.
I am now back in my hotel room very happy and cheerful reflecting on the days that have passed. Today I took it very easy and had some SALAD! mmmm....
