The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it but that our aim is too low and we reach it

We have been flooded! There's a lot to do to clean up, replace our carpet, etc - but FolesHillfields Healthy Summer will be continuing as planned - the Festival must go on! Any small changes in the programme will be reflected in our online events calendar
We will now have the unplanned cost of replacing all of our flooring (around £1000), and we are appealing for donations of any size to contribute to that - please get in touch or just donate online if you would like to help out.
Last Friday, the hose that we use to get water out to our community garden lost its end in the middle of the night - and we were flooded to a depth of 3 inches before Whitefriars staff saw what was happening and came in to turn off the water (many thanks to them!).
Stalwart volunteers helped us shift the water, and take out the wrecked carpet - heartfelt gratitude to Bakir, Dorothy, Margaret, Marva, Moody, Sarjo, Solange and Zohra. My personal thanks also to Fatima and Heather for taking charge and getting to work - I was away at a conference.
It's all looking pretty bad now, but we have a great group of volunteers and supporters, and are confident we can get ourselves back in business pretty soon - next events are this Wednesday, 7th July - Women's Coffee Morning 10-12, and Open House (Health Checks and Smoothies) 2-4 - hope to see you there!
