Chatting about something (or possibly nothing) of importance

Mysterious Indus Valley script One of the things people notice when they first come to the FolesHillfields Vision Project is the variety of languages and scripts on the walls, but there isn't anything like this - which is a undecipherable language found in the Indus Valley and is thought to date from more than 4,000 years ago.   The first letter is thought to represent a cow, but nobody is really sure.  So essentially it could mean anything or nothing.

At the Open Office meeting we sit around and chat over coffee.  It might not look like much, but it is one of the few groups I've ever experienced where people of a variety of ages, experiences and cultural backgrounds can meet together in an informal setting to chat and think about something (or possibly nothing) of importance together. In the process we learn more about our differences and more about the things we share with others.  Where else could you learn about Hungarian cuisine, Muslim weddings, what it is like to be a French-Tamil student in an English school?   Where else could you watch a council officer 'performing' a daft song along with everyone else?

I really like the idea of a language that nobody now understands and the possibilities of what it could mean.
