If you want to build a ship, don't herd people together to collect wood and don't assign them tasks and work; but, rather, teach them to long for the endless immensity of the sea.

We had a lot of fun at our third Language Café! My highlight was “Chinese Whispers”. We tried sentences in Japanese, Indonesian, Kinyarwanda, Gujarati and so on ... and we all got it totally wrong at the end of the circle! It was a good laugh.
A Kurdish artist, Ata, and an Iranian friend, Reza, came to help us make some arty stuff using their own languages, Kurdish and Farsi respectively. All the participants made beautiful “Welcome” signs in different languages. Many tried writing in alphabets other than the one we use for English: like Russian, Thai, Korean and Bulgarian.
Mani, one of our youth volunteers, took great leadership at this event. He led some games we played and involved everyone to have a good time together. Thanks Mani!!
