Yes, I am a dreamer. For a dreamer is one who can find his way by moonlight, and see the dawn before the rest of the world.
2011 has been a busy and successful year so far: April will see us temporarily a little quieter. We have had many events, got beautiful new blinds made, and completed our "Step Up" schools project. The Telegraph wrote Heather and Mark up very kindly and took this picture.
The end of March finds us in a difficult position - with Looch, Shell and Saboor finishing their contracts with us: we are hoping that they all stay around in some capacity and are working hard to make that happen, but the current economic situation is not running in our favour. At the same time our public sector colleagues at Neighbourhood Management have gone and our good friends and colleagues at WATCH and Hillz FM are struggling to maintain some service - its a time of change and uncertainty all around.
We are taking April as a month of reflection and rest. We will spend some of it planning the next phase of FolesHillfields, we will be doing some cleaning and sorting and we will take some much needed holiday. We will be back revived, relaxed and raring to go in MAY.
In the meantime we are planning to continue our regular Wednesday afternoon drop in session 2 - 4pm - so please drop by for a chat and a cuppa, we will also be having our gardening session on Wednesday afternoons at the same time - come and help as the Spring time is a busy one in the garden. Other than that we will be closed - apologies to all our regular visitors.
Hope you all have a good April and hope to see you on a Wednesday afternoon sometime.
from Heather, Fatima, Mark and Angela
