The FolesHillfields Vision Project is a not-for-profit social enterprise - a community organisation which works in Foleshill and Hillfields, two Coventry neighbourhoods blessed by diversity, and struggling with disadvantage.

Here's a video shot in November 2009 about our work:

(If you can't see that video here, try watching it on YouTube)

Our constituted aims are to support people in these neighbourhoods, and surrounding areas, by:

  • building strong bridges between communities;
  • promoting community involvement and social inclusion;
  • advancing local and international friendship, peace and co-operation.

We bring local people of different communities together to interact, listen to each other and develop understanding of our differences and commonalities within a global perspective.

In a variety of ways that are always friendly, warm and welcoming, we support people, build their confidence, and encourage their active engagement and leadership in their families, communities and neighbourhoods.

In 2008, we won the iCoCo / Baring Foundation national Award for Bridging Cultures for our work encouraging inter-cultural dialogue. Another video about our work can be found on their site here.
